Clients with whom

Sophie works well

Sophie brings warmth, skill, and a calm presence to her work with teens. She specializes in supporting neurodiverse students, those who have experienced trauma or attachment wounds, and young people who tend to internalize their struggles through anxiety or depression.

Her clinical focus includes trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, family systems, coping skills, disordered eating, and attachment-related challenges. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where students can feel heard, understood, and empowered to try new ways of relating to themselves and others.

Sophie's Education &

Prior Work Experience

She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Utah. She began her career in 2019 as a direct care staff in a nature-based therapeutic program, later moving into training and leadership roles. For the past two years, she has worked with children and families impacted by trauma, with a particular focus on foster care and adoption.

Sophie's

Strengths

She is skilled at building rapport quickly with clients who may be reluctant or resistant to therapy. By integrating evidence-based approaches within a nature-based setting, she helps students identify and shift patterns that hinder their growth. Her approach emphasizes creating a safe, supportive environment where students can explore their emotions and express themselves authentically. Drawing on a range of approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Motivational Interviewing—she meets each student where they are and helps them build the skills, insight, and confidence needed for meaningful change.

Sophie's
