Support for parents making treatment decisions

Second Nature’s Family Assessment and Coaching Services can provide concrete information that could make these decisions easier for parents considering treatment for their adolescent and/or help families determine parenting patterns and dynamics that need to be addressed in the home.  

This service provides parents with coaching, a curated package of Second Nature parenting materials, and the opportunity to participate in our proprietary Family Dynamics Assessment process.  Using this assessment, our Certified Parent Coaches are able to provide concrete information about the family dynamics and recommend necessary changes. Seeing this information in black and white can help propel a family forward with greater clarity and confidence, and our coaches can provide strategies and tools specific to each family's unique needs.  

Three coaching sessions are included in this package.  Our coaches will utilize the results of the assessment to provide direction about the changes and tools that would be necessary for the child to be successful at home. The coach would help parents assess whether they would be able to make those changes in a timely manner and determine if their child is in a place to respond positively to those interventions.  If parents determine that out-of-home treatment would best serve their family, they would be directed toward their educational consultant, who would be involved in this process from start to finish.
